We would like to assure all clients that during the current emergency Top Rank will continue to support clients as normal with the only thing changing being our office opening hours which will be 10am until 4pm for the foreseeable future.

Email support will continue as normal, and we have set all of the SSL certificates, web hosting and domain names that we manage to auto-renew on their expiry date regardless of payment status, in case any clients are not able to renew manually due to isolation, office closure or other situation linked to the current emergency.

Like most small businesses we too are feeling the effects of the downturn in business so please renew your services if you are able too, don't just disregard invoices because we have domains/hosting on auto renew because WE still need to make payment to the hosting company and the domain registry and if we are funding everyone's renewals it may be financially un-sustainable for us if the lockdown goes on for a longer period than expected resulting is us/you losing domains/websites and not being able to recover when the crisis is over.

Marketing and SEO Clients

We would also like to reassure our marketing/SEO clients that all SEO and marketing services will continue as normal so that no website will experience any ranking drops and will retain their page one position ready for when things get back to normal, hopefully in a couple of months.

Many of our content writers and link builders work off site or from home anyway so their ability to produce content for marketing purposes will not be effected. A couple of clients have talked about suspending marketing services for a couple months and while no client is tied into a minimum term contract, stopping regular promotion can have damaging effects on a websites ranking meaning that when you are ready to start up again you could be faced with a number of months of recovery to achieve page one ranking again.

For this reason we are willing to defer payment until this crisis is over on any account where the current situation has affected the ability to make payment. This course of action means that when clients/customers do return to the search engines looking for services in your niche or sector you will still rank where you rank now and won’t be faced with more time without business whilst your website ranking recovers.

Website Maintenance Clients

Our website maintenance services, virus scans, updates and back-ups will continue as normal during this period. However, clients can suspend services if no updates are required due to your business/website being closed although this will also suspend back-ups and virus scans and any emergency update work will be charged at our standard hourly rate…

We do not recommend that clients with Wordpress sites/blogs suspend back-ups and virus scans due to the platforms vulnerability.
